About Us:
The EHT Running Eagles Lacrosse Program had it's first official season in the spring of 2009. After some hard work and meetings with the EHTYO and EHT Recreation Commission we were accepted and became a "sponsored" program through the EHT Recreation Department in January 2010.
Our Goals are not going to be placed so much on WINNING, although that is always important, but on learning the game to compete at a high level locally and eventually regionally.
Our Mission is for Players to learn the value of:
• teamwork
• determination
• commitment
• leadership
To fulfill the commitment of making lacrosse a positive experience for all who participate, US Lacrosse is partnered with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) of Stanford, CA. Together, we are "transforming youth sports so sports can transform youth." PCA offers coaches practical and effective tools to help athletes perform at their best while developing skills to excel in life. We will strive to provide expert instruction to players of all abilities within a supportive and nurturing environment. We strive to make each player's experience enjoyable, memorable and productive. We encourage each player to be creative on the field. We believe an unrestrained athlete performs better and has the ability to take his or her game to the next level. We pride ourselves on our coaches and counselors taking a personal interest in our players and seek to inspire each player through the passion and enthusiasm our dedicated staff brings to the field at every event. In so preparing these young men and women for the next level of play scholastically or club.
Our children will compete in their appropriate Grade levels of 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8 in the newly formed, Jersey Shore Youth Lacrosse League. Teams included in this conference are Stafford Twp., Galloway Twp., Mainland, Upper Twp., Barnegat Twp. and Avalon. Which means, less traveling! No player will ever play “down” for purposes of winning or “STACKING” a team! We believe it best to compete to improve and prepare for a higher level!!!
